Our recent project is a custom multi-level structural steel equipment platform built for a customer in India. After fabrication was completed in our workshop, the entire structure was trial-erected on the shop floor before being disassembled, packed and prepared for export. This in-factory pre-assembly step lets us confirm that every column, beam, brace, deck panel, handrail and stair section fits together correctly before the parts leave China.

What the platform includes
The platform consists of steel columns and beams arranged across several working levels, cross X-bracing for lateral stability, deck surfaces for personnel and equipment access, perimeter safety handrails, access stairs between levels, and circular openings reserved for process equipment passing through the floors. The layout follows the customer's equipment arrangement and the operational routes between levels.

Pre-assembly in the workshop
Rather than shipping loose members straight from the fabrication line, our team erected the structure on the workshop floor according to the fabrication drawings. During this trial erection we checked bolted connection alignment, deck-to-frame fit, bracing position, stair landing connections and the equipment opening locations. Any small mismatch found at this stage can be corrected immediately in the controlled shop environment, where tools, lifting equipment and skilled welders are on hand.

Inspection before disassembly
Once the trial erection was complete and the fit-up was confirmed, the team carried out a final check of connection marks, member numbering and packing readiness. Members were then systematically disassembled, labelled to match the erection sequence, and grouped for safe loading. Clear marking is especially important for overseas projects, because the installation crew at destination cannot refer back to the factory during assembly.
Packing and shipment to India
The dismantled sections are prepared for ocean shipment in export-compatible packaging, grouped by erection sequence so the receiving side can erect level by level without searching through the load. The package is scheduled for delivery to India, where the platform will be re-erected on site using the same numbered, ready-to-fit members validated in our workshop.
Why this approach matters
For an overseas buyer, pre-assembly in the factory reduces the risk of surprises on site, shortens expected installation time, and gives confidence that an order built thousands of kilometres away can be erected exactly as designed. We treat trial erection as a standard part of our export steel platform process rather than an extra option.
